A girl spends her day running away from the personification of her own mental struggle.

Sour Days follows the character of Mirah and her pursuit of a normalday whilst living in a somewhat disturbing environment. The story focuses on the relationship between anguished Mirah and an entity called 'The Others' — a personification of herself and the obsessive compulsive disorder she attempts to hide. As she goes about her day, 'The Others' follow, only pushing her anxieties further as she continues to try to ignore them.

Sour Days was developed from a string of personal influences. Amongst Faye's practice with writing for fiction, the narrative describes her individual relationship with political false-truths and mental wellbeing. The film reveals an unconscious connection between exterior triggers and mental health as main character Mirah tries to go about her day, but is constantly disturbed by her environment. Animation has always facilitated a means for Faye to explain herself in ways words cannot. For this reason, Sour Days is close to her heart as it has allowed her to translate her world of living with anxiety and OCD.
