Maïlis Roy-Lessard is an emerging, Montreal based director with a background in psychology and production design.
One More” is a trip-hop R&B track, which sees Laroie singing about ‘a reflection on temptation, desire, and loss of control... Overcoming an addiction pushes us to question the depth of our egos, sometimes guiding us to the leased tamed facets of ourselves.'
In the music video Laroie looks at the sky over her, trippin on an unknown drug. After a few moments, we slip into her mind and see her evolving through different and wild environments.
Maïlis Roy-Lessard 'I wanted to create a weird but playful music video for Laroie’s song One More, in which we portray the cycle of addiction in a very implicit way. This video is about being trapped in a situation we feel we have no control over and running after the impossible. My personal ode to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. '
