Elizabeth Cassidy is a British filmmaker based in London. She is a writer and director with a background working in production. During the 2020 pandemic, Elizabeth started creating film poems set at home. Through her work, Elizabeth tells stories of poetic and fragmented narratives that explore complex human relationships and experiences. Most of her work to date is heavily influenced by themes of romance, memory and identity. With her directing style, Elizabeth hopes to push the visual medium to try to encapsulate the emotions of the characters, often using bold colours to portray the character’s introspection. In 2021, she co-founded Short Girl Productions with Andriani Scordellis and Short Girl Production’s first narrative short film, ‘Aydan & Evan’ is currently on the festival circuit.
