Brooklyn Cozy is a fashion short film meditating on the intention or complacency of being seen. The short features three characters that present themselves to us through activity, body language and style. There is an absurd nature that exists among the three. This adds to an awakened mood and array of colour palettes, encapsulating the feel for the worn items and the way in which the models feel within them. From the sporadic backing tracks to the unconventional catwalks, the short explores the idea of dressing as a one-person fashion show for anyone who glances our way.
Sam Coggin “Some people revel in this, dressing to be seen. Others could not care less. And others pretend they could not care less. Either way, dressing ourselves and leaving the house is a daily routine that we all have different relationships with. This film, featuring Brooklyn Cozy apparel all crocheted by Melissa Morgan, (perhaps comically) highlights the reality of that routine.“
