Victoria Innocenzi is a Director and Fashion Photographer living in Los Angeles. A Bad Thing is her latest film that plays with Americana and the classic road movie, full of drama. We follow one woman who's made a decision and try to piece together the puzzle from a phone call to her mother, of course <3

‍Innocenzi 'Good people do bad things all the time. I think we all relate to this narrative. This idea was something I wanted to explore in A Bad Thing. There’s a fine line between doing something bad and being a bad person.

The lockdown gave me the time to work on my creative as much as possible. I have been directing mostly music videos and fashion films for the past few years and A Bad Thing was my first time stepping back into scripted work since graduating film school. This felt like a 360 in a way for me, so it doesn’t surprise me the location and tone of the piece mimics my student thesis film. I wanted re-visit a theme and location I love but with a new perspective.

In this short film, the main character is on a phone call with her mother who’s side of the call we never hear. Telling stories through phone calls and text messages has always been fascinating to me because it allows so much room for interpretation.'
