Stockholm-based director Sheila Johansson began her career as an Art Director after graduating from one of Scandinavia’s leading creative schools, Beckmans College of Design. Sheila was recruited by the New York offices of world- renowned ad agency McCann, where she worked on campaigns for international brands such as IKEA and Chevrolet. Her work at McCann has been awarded in Cresta, One Show and ADC to name a few. After two years in NYC Sheila decided to explore her passion for film and shortly thereafter started work as a director at New Land Stockholm. In 2016 she won best new director at the Roy Awards, the first time it’s ever gone to a female director. In 2017 she was awarded Kycklingstipendiet, Sweden’s most prestigious creative acknowledgement for emerging talent. And at Guldägget 2018 Sheilas’ film for Cancerfonden won Gold in Film and and Silver in Craft. Sheila continues to be awarded for her work in 2018, most recently with a grand slam at the Roy Awards where she was awarded Best Director (first time ever won by a female director) Best Film and Best Music Video! Her most recent work include clients like Mercedes Benz, Polestar and artist Seinabo Sey
