Melisa Bakir is a London-based queer director, writer and production designer. Bakir graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2022, where she wrote and directed three short films. Her latest short film, ‘Only Feminists Left Alive’, a satirical comedy following a group of man-eating vampires, was recently screened at Grrl Haus Cinema. Bakir also specialises in production design, with recent work including various commercial projects and short films ‘Slay’ and ‘Phil Wants to Watch TV’. As she continues to navigate the realm of filmmaking, her work promises to resonate with audiences and leave a lasting impact.
