Clea DeCrane

Clea is a writer, director and actor based in LA & NYC. Her work skews towards the surreal and absurd, often centering young women grappling with obsession, transition, and heartbreak in horrifying and hilarious ways. Her short series Following Hannah Stone (which she wrote & directed) won ‘Best Episodic’ at last year’s Big Apple Film Festival, and was an official selection at Bentonville Film Festival, LA Indie Film Festival, Stareable Fest, Catalyst Story Institute, & more. Her feature script Fainting Spells was a 2020 WIF/Blacklist Lab finalist, and her pilot ‘Are You Dying…’ was a finalist for the 2021 inaugural Women’s Weekend Film Challenge Accelerator program, in the top 15 scripts out of over 750 submissions. She had her playwriting debut Off-Broadway in 2018 with her dark comedy Bitter Greens at 59E59 Theaters for a sold-out run, and is a 2022 member of WIF’s Emerging Producer Program and the founder of Station 26 Productions, through which she’s produced short films like Daddy’s Girl (Official Sundance Selection 2022) and Class (starring David Krumholtz, exec produced by Hank Azaria), music videos, and branded content for places like Red Bull, Nuri Sardines & Zenbooth. She’s currently working as a Showrunner’s assistant on an Apple TV show, writing her next feature film, and attached to produce two films to be filmed later this year.
