Cecilia Reeve is an artist and animator based in London. Since graduating from her illustration BA at the University of Brighton in 2018 Cecilia’s work has been featured in a variety of publications including The Evening Standard and Stylist Online and smaller grassroots zines such as feminist magazine ‘Ache’. Since 2020 Cecilia has created collections for art platform Partnership Editions, and has sold work to private collectors and organisations such as Soho House. Her animations have been commissioned by galleries such as The Borough Road Archive and emerging musicians including Nijuu. Cecilia’s practice focuses on themes surrounding femininity, using art to capture the ethereal world of emotion that cannot be explained in words. Through these stolen glimpses of other worlds, she would the viewer to experience different emotions such as isolation, desire and contemplation.
