Faux celebrities line up in audition room for new music video for Krrum

In a second audiovisual collaboration between electronic duo Alex (producer) and Harrison (vocalist) otherwise known as Krrum and director Camille Summers-Valli, we stumble upon some very familiar faces. The celebrity lookalikes of Michael Jackson, Boy George, Britney Spears and Nicky Minaj all take turn in auditioning for Alex.

The inspiration behind this came after Camille accidentally stumbled upon website of celebrity impersonator.

'I knew I had it in my mind, for over a year, that I wanted to work with celebrity impersonators for something. The message is up for interpretation really - I personally find it quite sinister, a comment on the celebrity culture and obsession with fame that dominates mainstream media. I guess its a comment on that, and, in a way, a fairly personal representation of our deep desire to have our voices heard.'

Seeing MJ vaping and sleeping on the bench in the waiting room definitely has something slightly depressing about it, but the film's colourful collage style and fluid camera movements make this world seem surreal and candid. Besides, you needn't worry about celebrity impersonators - they get paid very well! If you want a good part time job, start thinking about your famous doppelganger.
