Jennifer Juniper Stratford is a video artist and media mogul seeking otherworldly representation through the use of outmoded communication technologies to create new and exciting visual realms. Together with her collaborator Seth Bogart, they created a character 'Compactie' in the spirit of 'Chairy' from Pee-Wee's Playhouse and decided that the best voice to represent it would be that of pioneer of the feminist punk riot grrrl movement, Kathleen Hanna.

'I shoot everything on television broadcast cameras and record to BetaCAM tape. In their time, these cameras were the top of the line and super high tech.I don't consider my work Lo-fi or subpar to digital, but an aesthetic choice.Using these tools means I am able to reach into —the past, present, and future—to create videos that escape the trends and traps of time.'
