Sophie Sandor

Sophie Sandor is a writer and film/director producer based in London. Her films are inspired by her childhood in Scotland, socio-economic issues, Thedore Dalrymple's book Life at the Bottom: the Worldview That Makes the Underclass and British social realism features she started watching at the age of 15, in particular Peter Mullan's Neds. Before producing films, Sophie worked in economic think tanks in Westminster in London, the Adam Smith Institute and the Institute of Economic Affairs. She is a member of the National Youth Theatre and BAFTA Scotland and in 2020 the National Youth Film Academy executively produced her short film, Intrusion, which premiered at Raindance Film Festival. @uncouthchic
